Get involved with People for the Parks and Trails!
If you'd like to make a difference in the Jackson community, People for the Parks is the perfect opportunity! By volunteering with our group, you'll work alongside fellow residents to improve Jackson's parks for everyone.
Volunteer
Volunteer projects are planned from April to November every year. They are often scheduled on weekends during the day, with occasional weekday evening volunteer opportunities. Volunteer projects are posted on the home page. The time commitment is usually between 30 and 90 minutes.
You do not need to be a City of Jackson or Jackson County resident to volunteer. We accept anyone who wants to help! If you have physical limitations and would find it difficult doing some of the volunteer projects in parks, we can always find a way to put your talents to use.
If you'd like to get the latest information about volunteer projects, please complete submit the Interest Form on this page so we can add you to our email list.
Become a member
People for the Parks is always excited to welcome new members! If you'd like to become an official member, please download and submit a membership form. You do not need to be a member to participate in volunteer projects. There is no cost associated with being a member. Becoming a member gives you the ability to vote on group leadership, help select projects, and serve on the Board of Directors or a subcommittee.
